Trekking Route from Lukla to EBC.

Three intrepid trekkers after Day One.

OK, it might be time to give you an idea of the trekking route from Lukla to EBC. The itinerary we have is pretty similar to almost any trekker going to EBC, except for the fact our first day of acclimatization isn't until Tangboche instead of Namche Bazaar. The reason for this is that Wolfgang only has three days trek towards EBC and then needs to return to Lukla/Kathmandu. If we stopped at Namche Bazaar on day two he wouldn't get the opportunity to actually see Mount Everest. We hope this won't present any altitude challenges for us.

Our ITINERARY:

DAY 1:  Lukla (2886 m) to Phakding (2640 m)
DAY 2:  Phakding (2640 m) to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
DAY 3:  Namche Bazaar (3440 m) to Tengboche (3867 m)
DAY 4: ACCLIMATIZATION at Tengboche.
DAY 5:  Tengboche (3867 m) to Dingboche (4260 m)
DAY 6: ACCLIMATIZATION at Dingboche.
DAY 7:  Dingboche (4260 m) to Lobuche (4900 m)
DAY 8:  Louche (4900 m) to Gorakshep and then EBC (5250 m)
DAY 9:  Gorakshep (5180 m) to Kala Patthar (5530 m) and then to Pheriche (4243 m)
DAY 10: Pheriche (4243 m) to Deboche (3800 m)
DAY 11: Deboche (3800 m) to Khumjung (3970 m) and then to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
DAY 12: Namche Bazaar (3440 m) to Phakding (2640 m)
DAY 13: Phakding (2640 m) to Lukla and then onto to Kathmandu
